The world’s largest construction equipment fair was held during late October in Munich and Kurth GmbH took part once again.

Our company’s stand on the open-air grounds was packed with four drilling units. One of them was a 10 meter tall dedicated drilling carriage attached to a 30-ton crawler excavater. In addition, it also included a small sensation: The drilling carriage type MBL 73/18 enables ordnance probe drillings up to 14 meters depth without endangering drilling personnel thanks to the automatic feeding of the second drill string from its magazine. The excavater operater wirelessly controls the complete drilling process all by himself from the safety of his protected cabin

Next to the other exhibits LBL 1200 and KB 13, the new KB 21 represented a further highlight: Equipped with a four-speed power head, it delivers revs of up to 500 U/min and torques up to 5,000 Nm. The feed length of 4,300 mm is perfect for core drilling resp. wireline drilling as well as drilling with casings with diameters up to of 178 mm (max. 219 mm). A true all-round building site probe drilling unit.

Thus, our success at the BAUMA came as no surprise: For the first time, two major deals were finalized on the spot!
